    Morning all

My main task today is to order a salter spiralizer so if anyone has any thoughts or good links please shout out.

I was going to get the one that is on nectar.com but when I clicked through last night it's saying out of stock
So I might end up having to go via Amazon and getting a months trail of prime again

but I am still very worried about the delivery time.

And how huge the resulting box will be.

I have the Salter one, I got this one for my mum for xmas, and it's pretty much the same thing.

Mind you everything is driving me bats this morning

I had to do a rest of the superdrug password as it would not accept what I put in. I did remember to go via TCB not that it mattered as the set was OOS.

Also had to figure out what OHs log in details were for Shopotize as his app was not showing the choc biscuits so that took some figuring out - it just needed to be logged out and logged back in to straightened everything up.

Then after a bit of searching I realised I can just get a spiralizer from Argos and use click and collect, no worries about a 2 week wait for delivery.

Then we had yet another card through the door from United Futilities about shutting off the water but the card was blank. I arranged for a call back and the lady said we are shut down most of Thursday - this is the 2nd time this week. And then she escalated the issue and another team rang to confirm this.
Afterwards I realised I have a hairdressers appointment so it wont really matter if it is shut off most of the day as I wont be here.

and the final annoyance was messages from youngest son. Apparently his ex employer paid him in December by accident and they are requesting the money is transferred back. This is what youngest son was asking about yesterday but he has only just forwarded me the emails so I now understand what the problem is - emails dated 06/01. So I checked his bank account and I can see the payment - I don't know why either of us did not realise it was a salary over payment mistake and fortunately it has not been spent. I cant do the transfer for him as it needs his debit card and the card reader (fortunately I put one in his bag in July as a just incase item) - just have to hope that he can now find it in his bag or his room. I've sent him instructions how to do the transfer, just hope they were clear enough as he has not done this before. I think he must be on exped as he cant do it until Friday. so in the meantime I've emailed his ex employer to let them know the situation as they are getting anxious now.
also noticed a complaint we put in to the bank has been put on hold and it will be now mid February before we hear anything.
Also son rather than let his credit card direct debit go through has also paid the bill himself manually so now he will have a huge plus balance on his credit card.
(he is out in Hong Kong and 8 hours ahead of us so I get messages at odd hours of the night and early morning)

You can see why nothing has got done here this morning and poor Sophie card has resigned herself to not getting fed :D

    Afternoon all!

I've been for a swim today. A massive milestone for me. I HATE swimming pools, I hate water on my face, I hate showering in public places.

But we go on holiday at the beginning of May and I'm not a very good swimmer so I very rarely get in the pool with my girls. But this year I promised them I would make more of an effort for them. :)

would something like a swimming exercise class help - they do at least make swimming and being in pools fun

    Morning Everyone:)

Cold here (-4.5 this morning) but my hands lovely and warm in my Sweaty Betty gloves that I got for free

Looked at the latest Lidl leaflet and it doesn't have the usual Halfprice Weekend offers on the back. Are they stopping them? That would be a great shame :(

    Good afternoon
Looks like Lidl are doing a pick of the week thing instead of half price weekend choice of 4 meats and 4 fruit and veg abit like Aldis
More chance of getting the offers as on all week instead of just weekend but not so much money off

mhoc. don't know if this is of any use to you for the spiralizer but if they have them in store I think you may have one not too far away from you:)

    Belated birthday wishes for yesterday:bdaycake:

OMG - even this is proving to be difficult.

I'd not even heard of the original factory shop and our nearest is a 20 mile round trip but when we do go in that direction I will check it out.

so I went back to the original idea of Argos as we have one inside our Sainsburys but its out of stock there and also our other shopping town and in Chester

so I've had to reserve it to collect from our nearest town which I loathe and detest going to but its the easiest option and at least I can part pay with points

in theory I could also finish filling the Oxfam bric a brac box and also get my birthday cream cake from Greggs - if OH manages to escape from work before this evening

a kind person also mentioned Morrisons so that is the back up plan

    nothing simple today
