Cathedral City is £2 instore, but shows as £3 on the apg

Compares to M. at 2 for £4, so after apg each block costs 80p!:)

I did an mhoc in the middle of the night.

Sorted out piles of paperwork and some from a drawer. Only meant to file away my key card for my car in my metal box safely but ended up doing it all finished about 2.30am. I hadn't filed anything since last September it all got stuffed in the waiting drawer around the time of Mr TS's big birthday party and I had just kept stuffing. :o

Felt good to have two piles when I had finished, one for shredding and one for recycling bin. :T

I am very impressed, middle of the night is the ideal time for this sort of job - when your paperwork is sorted you feel about a million times easier in your head.
the trick now is not to let another paperwork heap accumulate on your desk - as soon as anything comes in the door mark dates on the calendar for renewals, payments or reminders and then file it or scan it and shred it :T

Lovely fireplace squigs. I'm guessing by the design that it's a similar age to ours, which looks like this:

We had a one of these in our bedroom when i was a child ... how we survived it is scarey now as it was only about two feet from the bed

FOR SAFETY NOW WE WOULD BE HUNG

..as we also had 2 fire down stairs and parafin heaters in the hall bathroom and other bedrooms

And woe betide anyone that dare leave the lounge door open when they went to spend a penny ..and dare to let a draught in my god that was high treason ....

Please dont think i had a bad child hood i didnt i had a good one but compared to what we can do now.... as to how we did it then...and survived it none the worse for wear

My Dad used to get a shovel full of hot burning fire out of the downstairs fire and carry it upstairs to put the bedroom fire on and he never dropped any of it ....
Spooky - met up with my elder brother on Saturday (only meet about once every 4 years) to celebrate his Golden wedding and we were talking about the fireplaces in the bedrooms - they were only lit if somebody was poorly, actually had to be near to death before they were put on.. (and then I think they were only lit to impress others, ie the doctor)
