Funny everyone always leaves the lemons in mine and Mr TS makes fine preserved lemons using salt. Think it's some Moroccan recipe.
Wonder what DM or Anon would do with lemons. Bet it would be lemonade or something.0 -

Lemon sorbet, or if cream was reduced too, lemon syllabub. :money:“Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”

And the recipe said pie, so its a pie......tart
It's fluted and has a lattice top so it should be called a tart.
(But it's not your fault if they said it was a pie.)
Pie:
A pie is a pastry item with a crust and a filling, and can have one or two crusts. Two crusts are often dubbed ‘double crust’ and bottom crust only pie is a ‘single crust. Pies can be sweet or savory, and can be filled with either a cream, fruit, vegetable or meat filling. Often fruit pies have a thickener (flour, cornstarch, tapioca, etc) to help thicken the water and juices released during baking.
Deep Dish Pie:
This is a pie baked in a deep-dish pan (a pie pan with higher sides).
Tart:
A tart is very similar to a pie in that it has a pastry dough bottom with a filling. It can have a single crust, or be double-crusted. Often, tarts are thinner than pies. Tart pans are typically fluted around the edges, and can be round, square, rectangular.“All shall be well, and all shall be well and all manner of thing shall be well.”0 -

I did originally post a pic of the above, but it was HUGE and I would have felt the wrath of tweets “Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”
