I was laughing at this earlier, as I thought I hadn't got all the versions of M's 33p sugar decorations. And, guess what, I hadn't!:D I've now got some Chocolate version to add, which I nearly got tempted by myself and actually bought, but I managed to restrain myself:D. So, not actually bought, but the tempter will be going onto the list (once I reach the numerous items I have later:rotfl:). Silly me, I ought to have done my price collection in Sheffield Hillsborough from the outset, then I would have had all four versions:p. (Assuming there are four, I bet there are even more:rotfl:.) However, it would have been no good confining price collection to Sheffield Hillsborough as they don't have Savers Shampoo. I think. (I'm losing track of precisely what is stocked by every store now.) Well, that's two city stores now that don't stock Savers Potato Salad:rotfl: (but some others do). And I note I wouldn't have got a load of other items that have been obtained from a range of different stores and none of them are stocked in Sheffield Hillsborough! I wouldn't have had the Savers Apple Pies back again, as they only stock Lyons Apple Pies (again, I think, I could be referring to another Sheffield M store).

That was not my final store of the night. Again, the one that was that, I reached at about 40 minutes before closing. They had me rushing around, desperately trying (and succeeding:D) to collect an entire range of items that, somehow, were in none of my previous 41 stores! I did have some of this range (maybe I now never had it all:rotfl:) on the list months ago, until the items disappeared from my regular stores - tbh, there was one version still left in one of my stores, then disappeared and then made a brief re-appearance before going again, but I thought M no longer stocked the items so I removed them from the list:eek:. However - and I did find one of this range in a store earlier in the night - but, more fool me, found an entire range in my final store! I clearly must just have done completely inadequate price collections earlier in the day and I'd obviously been quite lazy as I got none of these extra items at all:rotfl:. They just were in none of those stores - or any checked up until the last one tonight. So, my sincere apologies again:o:o:o - for wrongly removing an entire range of items from my list months ago when clearly, it appears, M has continued to stock them all along! I bet if you shopped at that store, you must have wondered what I was doing when I deleted them all off the list months ago. So, I'm sorry that I'd gone N/A:o:rotfl: on them when they are continually in your store. I seem to be deleting and adding items onto my list, from afar, quite regardless of what is stocked in your M!

I think I may even have found the Mixed selection cat food that we all thought M didn't stock earlier:rotfl:! It may turn out that they do stock it - fwiw if the APG is going N/A - but that might be a false alarm on my part as I need to check that it is exactly the same one that we were talking about.

I've also found, tonight, some Savers Mandarin Pieces that I was totally unaware M still stocked:o:o. The last time I saw those they were on offer of 18p - absolutely ages ago since they then rose to 35p - and they are now 59p:eek:. They've been Avs T (although not vs 18p anymore) for a while I think - although I'll need to check if A still have them since it's ages since I looked, with me believing that M didn't stock any equivalent for years - however they might be a safe filler on the APG though:rotfl:, as I don't think they check that store!

So, I think we clearly know that every M store has a different range. Strange as I'm finding items tonight that are in Store A and B miles away earlier, but not Store C. And then finding some of Store C's items in one, but not another, store tonight together with some that Store A and C stock but not Store B. Lots of interesting permutations as to what's in each of the 42 stores! And I think we may be having some of the approx. £1 'RTC' lollies staying around in some Ms for quite a while indeed - as I found a whole load in the freezers of one store tonight but with no price SEL for them at all!:rotfl:

That's what I now think happens sometimes - and it's not just freezer items. Items get put onto shelves, that are RTC, but the offer label never gets put up in some stores, or a price SEL is never put up, they then remain on the shelves unbought, as customers generally are not the enquiring souls that we are. If you see no SEL, as I mentioned earlier, sometimes that's a guide to it being a very good low price!:D:rotfl: The items will then remain on the shelves, get pushed to the back, moved around, until either some member of staff notices and puts the price onto them or maybe they just remain there and continue so that M still stocks (and potentially sells at the RTC price) the RTC items months and months later! I am finding some "RTC" items (which I know were RTC from having them from stores months ago and then wrongly taking them off the list after they went without trace from all my usual stores) - some of them do have price SELs but there are no offer labels that state "Reduced to clear" meaning that, if T's price collectors were in that store, they'd probably scan the SEL and the system then match M's low RTC price:D. However, it's unlikely TBG are in the 'right' M store - but just as it's "unlikely" in relation to any individual store but it must be some of them. A three out of over a 500 chance:rotfl:.

I also now have what I think is an RTC which I have never had at all until a few hours ago!:eek::rotfl: Stock (and a SEL) kicking around in one store on a product that was never in any stores I have checked before at any time at which I have checked, whether months before or now. So, I have another two pages of either items completely new to me or old ones that shouldn't have been taken off the list ages ago!:rotfl: If it continues at this rate, there will be 3,000-4,000 items missing from my list at this point:eek: assuming I add about the same number from all the other remaining 500 stores:rotfl:. Just how many items does M stock?:eek::rotfl::rotfl:

Some items that I only had 1 or 2 stores stocking before that I'm now aware are stocked in more (which is what I'd always assumed) and others that I've only seen in the stores checked just now! I also may have the Dental Cleanser at 48p back. Should never have been removed again:rotfl::o:rotfl:. Perhaps. I couldn't find any stock now, so it seems it may be OOS, and it's possibly an errant SEL that has been left on the shelf and never removed rather than an indication that there is still stock in M. If this were to have been a comparable item on the APG though, then we'd take the SEL and assume it was still stocked by M somewhere. I haven't seen it elsewhere (but then none of the night's 'new' items have been elsewhere) so, on this one, given that the SEL seems a bit 'errant', I can't be sure what M does or does not stock. I may come across it in another store later or I may not.

I couldn't make Hartlepool this time, sorry - I ended up going the other way - so will have to be some other time!:D One thing is for sure - Hartlepool M will have quite a few items (and not merely local items) that I have not got from any of the stores I've been to so far!

So, each M store has a different range. I think they do this so that no competitors can ever properly match/beat the price of every item that M stocks:rotfl:. As I understand it, TBG collects from just three M stores - a number that now seems completely inadequate and never going to catch even every branded item. So their system cannot possibly match the price of every M branded grocery product that T sells and thus can't ensure that people don't ever pay more. Whereas the APG, I understand, collects from what also now seems a hopeless number of 6 stores, as opposed to my clearly woefully inadequate 39 stores earlier that is now a useless 42:rotfl:! Just move all the items around and put one in one store, one in another, another in a third and something else in yet another - that'll trip up our competitors:D:rotfl:! And I still haven't found everything (that is everything that I would consider good value that should be on the M list - I'm not even collecting every item, just those that look good value on M prices).

I haven't seen the 5 pack Cornetto Chocolate in any of the 42 stores. However, I strongly suspect that M does have this somewhere! Even going to 42 stores has therefore not managed to capture every item if this is the case. Which it must be surely? As it did briefly appear in one of my stores (albeit with no SEL) then disappear, so it must be stocked by M in at least one of their stores somewhere and have some of the product lying around on some shelf somewhere, even if at the back of the shelf or does or doesn't have a SEL. I also know almost for a fact that I still haven't caught everything, as there are some items that are online, that are on my list already from there that I assume are those prices, that I have still yet to see (and 42 stores have not stocked them), but they are online, on m.com, and must be stocked somewhere in some of M's stores and be available at those prices (which aren't clearly online exclusives)!

They seem to have some items stocked at some stores, others at others and yet more at others - one wonders how they know which products to deliver to which stores! I have the Savers Beef & Ham Paste in some of the city stores, but not others - most of my sample seems to have just Chicken Paste but I've found Beef & Ham Paste at a couple of town stores now (probably a hundred miles apart:rotfl:) but not at other town stores, and some city stores with it but not in that other huge store I checked the other day!:rotfl:

You may have noticed that I have added two 23p Haribo bags of sweets to the list. I said there were other 23p sweets I was sure I was missing:rotfl:. Well, two of them have now turned up:D and I got them onto the list earlier! However, they weren't the ones I was thinking of - I was thinking M own brand rather than branded Haribo - I am sure M must have some of those M own brand sweets bags (and they aren't the Cherries ones) somewhere - they briefly appeared on my list months ago when in and out of one of my regular stores - but I'm sure, given what I've now discovered, that they must still be surely in some other M store today. I have yet to see them and not yet come across them in 42 stores. Anyway, as regards Haribo bags at 23p, who needs those:huh:? We have got lots of really expensive (compared to those) tiny 10p Haribo packs that we had to buy to get Finish DW tabs and cheese cheaper, but then the main items we wanted far outweighed and gave more than the cost of the 10p bags!

I have now seen the Science and Technology children's book at 18p - so that needs to go back onto the list - apologies for removing that:rotfl::o:o - and just, finally, to mention that some of you may have some Help with Homework books in your stores but at £2.50:eek: - they are not the same as the specific Help with Homework books that are on my list - so, if you have only the £2.50 ones in your M, or Ms, then sorry they are not the 48p ones that M does stock elsewhere. Perhaps you ought to contact M HQ and ask why their range appears to be a postcode lottery:rotfl::rotfl:.

Goodnight folks - I'll sort the M list, yet again, later on! And it will be started today, daytime - I don't think I'll try and go out for a short shopping day! I just, earlier, in those latest stores - I felt it was an eye-opening revelation as to what M stocks and, as I was turning each corner, particularly in that last store, I thought "I wonder what else I'm going to find now". Every corner!:rotfl::rotfl: Whatever next M new (for me) store I go to, there will be more items that are still missing from my list even after I finish updating it from all I have now got! Well done to Mr M though, for making it impossible for anyone to know the precise extent of what they stock!:T:rotfl:

I think I may have found another Cheese Truckle (or it may turn out to be a duplicate). I reckon I've still not got them all:rotfl:. And I've been having a laugh about the Duni tablecovers earlier on my list - see my list there!
