They are very similar tweets but have a gold fleck running through them. They also had some pretty studs for £1.99 and big chunky necklaces....the sort that would chip your teeth if you were running for a bus:rotfl:To do is to be. Rousseau

I'm ok thanks AJ, hamper still in the boot.

You are doing so well with your new job. I am actually a little envious, as this was my dream venture when my husband and I left YHA after 13 years running a Youth Hostel.
Well we were looking to set up a combined cafe/bistro/bookshop somewhere in or close to Hay on Wye.
But then digital books came in, and we realised how many bookshops were going out of business, and went into something else instead.
Anyway, we catered for all kinds of people from families to cyclists to groups of ramblers to coachloads of school groups and had great fun with special diets or party catering! Feel free to PM me if you want a few vegan/veggie/diabetic recipies.
To answer your question, I would suggest two options. One a simple sandwich, cake/cream scone and cup of tea option at say £6-£8 (bearing in mind I don't know your prices or the percentage food cost you are working to.)
The other option would be the kind of lush tiered selection of indulgence that others have posted earlier.
I would charge about £10.50-£12.50 per person for that, depending how much/what fillings. Smoked salmon or not for instance.
And maybe offer a half sandwich with small simple cake and drink just for kids at £2.50 too.
Don't undervalue yourself regarding prices. You want them to go away with a wow that was great! Rather than focusing on "what good value" for all that!
Sorry, just read that the earlier post had only one cup cup of tea! That is ridiculous. I would make two cup pot, and offer more water to top it up too. Percieved value huge.cost pennies,
Wishing you all success. ER
thanks:A:A lots of helpful bits here, unfortunatly with pricing we are terribly overpriced,:o when i first started i kept thinking i had made mistakes on till and apologising as things where to dear, and the customer say no thats right :rotfl: now they try to keep me away from the till, but customers are more happy to pay than i am to charge :rotfl:0 -

Does no one like "Tiny" studs.
Joking aside they were lovely and I am tempted to look in M&S tomorrow when I pick an order up.
I didn't get my card out in time and when I went back to my M&S basket after a few days of leaving stuff in it and everything was still in stock but couple pound cheaper I caved in. Saved a tenner though. :money:0 -

We should set up an Elite rental van services. :rotfl:
We have been discussing what will happen to the washing machine, fridge and freezer tonight when the kitchen is being revamped.
Mr TS suggested the lounge but I said what on earth will we do with the pots pans plates cups etc and the larder full of food. I can't see it being that much less by end of March if I am honest.0 -

OMG, I'm rich! Silver in the hair, Gold in the teeff, Crystals in the Kidney, Sugar in the blood, Lead in the butt, Iron in the arteries and an inexhaustible supply of natural gas! I never thought I would accumulate such wealth!! :rotfl::rotfl:0 -
A teeny tiny glitch in A. Old El Paso wraps are £1 but APG shows 2 for £2.50, so same price as T and S... so if you were buying them anyway, it's a good comparison (works out at £1.75 for 2?)
2x Old El Paso Regular Super Soft Corn Tortillas (335G) £2.50 £2.50
Note these are the corn ones - I bought wheat ones too and they don't appear on the APG at all0
