Your mum should definitely put a complaint in, afraid it does happen more often than you think.

Our mate was driven all the way to Bristol from Poole for a specialist appointment that had been cancelled because the consultant was on holiday.

Your mum will hopefully get an apology but at least in making the right departments aware at least it may stop it happening so often.

I remember the first time we had to travel 60 miles for my OH's ankle. DD was driving us and her clutch just about made it  Had to have it changed before we came home, and OH had not been informed that his blood tests done a couple of weeks before came back saying he could not have the op  So basically we had a disaster of a journey just to be told we had to continue waiting.
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare

Well why not experience the thrill and excitement of ordering a new mystery box, without the inconvenience of having to hide/store it........just get it sent to me :D

You would only be asleep at the bus stop. :p

    Evening everyone.
    Morning all
RIP David Bowie, such sad news.
Went to see creed last night, fantastic film but quite sad. Won't spoil the plot other than to say if you've watched the other you need to see this one.

    Hope all are well

we saw this on showbox, very good film.

Such sad news about David Bowie.

Ladyshopper, sorry to hear you have had such a bad day today.

Cheerleader, ouch, hope he is ok.

Tweets, that is awful, but we have seen it happen, when I went with OH the other week, someone had there appointment cancelled but didnt know until they turned up for op. Very annoying.

thanks LS i'm going to have to cancel ds2's physio appointment for his right knee this week then i guess when he's able to do physio again it will be for both knees. the consultant said before that if it continues & if physio doesn't help that they might have to operate & tighten the muscles around his knee caps have they said that to you? i'm really hoping it doesn't come to that :o how's your DS doing now? :)
Consultant said opposite to us. He said that for people who are hypermobile, surgery doesn't have a good outcome and can actually cause more problems, hence why he referred him to physio. Think DS was a bit disappointed, he'd got it in his head that he'd have a magic op that could fix it all.

Ladyshopper sorry to hear your day hasn't gone too well. Keep positive you have come so far, this time next year I am sure you will be able to manage a little smile over the accident and be in a much better place. Sending lots of hugs your way. :A

Thank you TS, the hug is really appreciated.
