Speak to DCA or try to contact original creditors?

So without going into too much detail yet I have approx 8k of personal debt spread over 3 credit cards, a catalogue, a loan and an overdraft. As I'm going to be 30 in less than. 6 months I want to start getting a handle on my finances and work towards sorting this out. I've had letters/calls from various DCA including PRA, akinika and moorcroft so not sure who has what debts. Would I be best off speaking to them or trying to deal with the original creditors and work out a payment plan with them? Don't want to commit to much to Any one person as I'm not on a fixed contact so hours at work will most likely drop for the next few months and I have priority debts of council tax and a ccj for water bill to pay on top of rent etc
