Posted on DIY, but no response!
Hi All,
I have a chest of drawers similar to picture in link below.
I painted it 24 hours ago with Dulux satinwood, self undercoating paint and it is still very wet, even looks very "glossy" still.
The chest does not have any grain, very smooth, with a non-handpainted finish, similar to a melamine but not if you see what I mean?.
I gave it a light sand, stirred the paint etc.
Any advice please?

Tried to edit my post but it wouldn't cooperate .Meant to add Dulux satinwood is not a flat finish it has a sheen . The weather at the moment is going to delay paint drying . If I recall correctly there are two versions of satinwood one acrylic based -dries quite quickly . The other is oil based and minimum six hours drying . Good luck . polly. It is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.

Thanks both of you!
It is an oil based one.
Got up this morning with the intention of wiping off with white spirit and starting again, but, it has actually started to dry, so all is not lost!0 -
Glad to hear all is well . I know that feeling of dread and starting all over again !It is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.
