DBS is being checked at the moment for a nursery, can the nursery withdraw the job offer if the DBS doesn’t come back quickly? Friend can’t start the job until the DBS is completed.

    They can withdraw the job for any reason, so yes, delay in the DBS could be a reason to withdraw.

    Yes - sometimes they come back very quickly though. Main delays can be - multiple historic addresses/name changes and which police forces are involved.
