  • I would always suggest being totally honest when a mortgage broker asks you a question, anything other than that is likely to come back to haunt you.

    If they ask do you ever gamble you should say yes.

    If they say have you gambled in the last 3 months then you say no.

    Having said that. I don't ask that question, and it doesn't come up in any applications I use.

    Thank you all so much for your replies... they are really helpful and reassuring that all may not be lost!

    Does anyone know if underwriters are likely to look further back that the 3 months the bank say that look at during the AIP meeting?
