Register as Self Employed

I use to be self employed, I was contracted to another company... it closed down and then I got another job PAYE...

I need to register as self employed again since I'm going to be contracted to another company, however they want me to be self employed... [IT Related] fair enough.

However I will have another income through another company, starting in the next month. [animal care related]

I also sell craft items. Which isn't all the time, but maybe it should be included.

I will no longer be PAYE, since i've handed in my notice.

When I go to register as self employed, i'm guessing I have to register as an "Individual" rather then Sole Trader, but i'm stumped on what to fill in on "What sort of self-employed work do you do?" because it's going to be different stuff.

It's ok, I've found my answer after extensive searching.

List your main source of income as what you're be doing.

It should. That makes you a business, there's no doubt about it. You should already have been declaring it.

Hardly a business when I sold 1 item in 7 months, I was talking about including it in the form which asks what do i do to earn my money, but seeing as other forums have stated only list your main supply of income and just add everything else to that.

Not sure what you mean by register as an individual rather than a sole trader.

If you are running a business then you need to pick a legal structure, either a sole trader, partnership or a ltd company.

There is also info here on having more than one business - https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/more-than-one-business-hs220-self-assessment-helpsheet/hs220-more-than-one-business-2015

I will be invoicing my clients as a person not a business name. They have "individual" as an option

That's still a sole trader. You don't need to have a business name.

An individual could be for others eg employee with an income over £100,000

You created it to sell, that is a business. Buying or creating an item with intention to sell is a business.

It doesn't matter how often you sell, how much you sell, whether you lose money, break even or make a profit. The law states that is a business and you need to declare it to HMRC.

I believe in declaring everything you can declare it altogether. So long as you give all the information required I don't think it matters.

By the way, I don't mean the above to sound harsh. I'm just informing you and trying to make it clear and simple.

It's obvious you want to do things properly so wouldn't want HMRC coming after you over what create to sell. You may not see it as a business, but they do.
