Traditional music in Belfast

Hi, was wondering if anyone knows of any bars in Belfast that have traditional music/folk nights or similar on a Saturady night? Lots going on during the week but not much on a Saturday. I have friends coming over soon for a weekend and they would love to hear some traditional stuff. Can anyone help? Thanks

I was downstairs in White's Tavern (just off Rosemary Street, near Fresh Garbage) in the city centre a couple of Saturdays ago and it had some good diddly-dee music going. Not sure if it's a regular thing but it might be worth ringing to check. Quite a small bar but the atmosphere was very good.

Thanks. I was there a while back, but there was just a person in the corner and he could only be heard at the bar. I will give it another go, might have improved their sound system, if not the ladies loo! Thanks

Hi, not sure of this is still relevant/current, but Kellys Cellars and Maddens bar used to both be good traditional session pubs. Should usually be something happrning on a Saturday afternoon / evening.

    HTH

I think the Duke of York pub might do traditional music on a Saturday night. Can one of the locals confirm please?
