Mag dailies nightmare

I took over the mag dailies thread last night and thought between Katie, Glad and I we had sorted out one issue, but after transferring all the links over to a new thread via Firefox (because it can't be easily done in Chrome) I find that going back to Chrome (because that's what I work on) there has been a transfer of masses of HTML code that's duplicated many, many, many X 100 times.
I just tried working in FF but it's not happening for me I'm afraid. Too unstable, even though I downloaded it just yesterday, so it's up-to-date.
I cannot work with the thread in Chrome at all, it's impossible to see which bits want editing.
Any got any ideas?

I found formatting in Chrome aweful too for MSE, I used Firefox, but I found I could do it in IE too (although that was some time ago)
Good luck WeAreGhosts #StaySafeWishing you a Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy New Year0 -
I think you must have sorted it WeAreGhosts as I can't see those formatting symbols now :j#StaySafeWishing you a Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy New Year0

No, they were the ones I messed up because I couldn't see what to edit. They've gone because I've deleted them, but the 1000s of unnecessary HTML code is still there ... but only I can see it!
I am just trying editing in IE. I don't find IE very stable but it seems easier than FF at the moment.0 -
WAG - I will take a look.0

Ta!
IE seems to be working. I didn't know that IE and FF don't show the HTML. I find it easier to see it, but that's the way I have always worked ...

I know it's early days WeAreGhosts but you've copied and pasted the postings to the front page, whereas Katie actually created a direct link to the actual competition. I'm not sure how she did it or what is the easiest way I'm afraid, but good luck #StaySafeWishing you a Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy New Year0

When I put the competition in the relevant post I clicked through to the thread for the comp, copied the title, added the answer, then clicked on the link in the post and added that to the text.*Katie*

Ahh, cos I only ever comp from the end posts.
Bizarre (not sure what the reason is for the posts to the main board and the links to themm ...). But okay. Will change.
I assumed we were working like the advents, dailies, Rafflecopters etc!!0 -
Nope, I have another problem now. IE will not open the 'insert link' thingy. In linking to the MSE post I can just do 'copy link', which is why it would link ok.
Have left them linking to MSE.
If I can't get the technology to work I will have to hand it over to someone who can.
I previously did the RC thread with no problem and had helped out on the advents when OYL had flu, but I cannot get any browser to work 100% on it. Linking to MSE works fine technology-wise.0
