Help with white spirits

I managed to do a full wash that included a rag soaked in white spirit. The whole wash is now smelling of white spirit.
So far I've soaked it in the bath in white vinegar and water and washed it again with a cup of vinegar in the machine. Still smelling

any other suggestions

I would try drying it now and you may well find that the smell will reduce. It may take a couple of washes to restore it completely but it isnt irretrievable.

A similar thing happened to me a couple of years ago. The only thing that shifted it was pegging it all out and leaving it overnight, then washing again as normal.
