Handbags with decent lining without costing the earth

I'm getting fed up of buying a handbag every year as the lining rips. Some linings are too thin to repair. When you repair them, it's never the same and tends to rip again.

I refuse to spend more than £80. Has to be one that goes over my body as leaves my hands to carry shopping. Find ones carry on shoulder ones uncomfortable. Plus restricted in size as my work locker doesn't take very large bags.

Need a zip up pocket on the outside to gain easy access to keys.

Look at Kipling bags, there is even a long thread about them on one of the MSE boards if you do a search. Never pay full price, different models and colours are always discounted, Amazon is a good place to start.

Like you I used to get through bags very quickly, regardless of the price. I now have about 8 Kipling bags, one has been used daily for years and is still as good as new. They even go Into a washing machine .

Have a look in TKMaxx in their store - they always have a good selection of bags, and at least you'd be able to check out the lining before you buy and see how comfortable it is to wear.
  • Hi,

I have just bought something very similar in the sale the other week. It was very similar to these:

    http://www.johnlewis.com/browse/women/handbags/fiorelli/across-body/brown/_/N-fjgZ1z13rqfZ1z0roq4Z1z14184

Very please so far and I have had this make of bag before and it lasted a long time.
