Expenses on a Letted Property

Hi All,


I am about to carry out my self assessment and I am tallying up my expenses.


Could anybody who is in the know, tell me if I can claim for the following:


1. A new radiator (it wasn't working) - £80
2. New Skirting Boards (They were mouldy and needed changing) - £80
2. Paint (to make good some walls) - £16


Also, can you claim for travel expenses?
What is the maximum allowed with no proof of receipts?

I would have no difficulty in claiming the expenses as repairs. Travel expenses? - this should help!

Absolutely you can claim for those they are all part of the expenses of maintaining it.

for obvious reasons there is not an "allowed" figure otherwise everyone would claim the maximum!

you can get away with some level of unreceipted expenditure but that is an art not a science
