29.8.07 what small dfw thing will you do or have you done today?

Good Morning fellow DFW Peeps and welcome old timers and newbies alike :hello:

Welcome to Wednesday - middle of the week already !!!!!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging the washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.

So, today I will:
  • do piggy comps, clicks and surveys
  • check online banking and update spreadsheet
  • make storecupboard dinner
  • get something listed on ebay
  • send everyone out with packups
  • take flask of coffee to the garage for while I am waiting for my car to be fixed, instead of buying rubbish from their machine
  • be positive
have a good day everyone xx

    Today:

I didn't bring lunch in as my parents have been staying and didn't get a chance to make anything but I just got a bag of crisps as I wasn't very hungry (and bought in cakes and fruit from home).

Am making a careful shopping list of things we need to take us up to the weekend and a new month.

Tonight I'm going to concentrate on doing surveys, clicks etc as I've been neglecting them a bit :o

And over the last 2 days my lovely parents bought us lunch and drinks out and dinner out last night, and paid for a whole tank of petrol as I drove us about and was almost out (only used 1/8 of it) they also bought me some things to sell and gave me some 1ps, 2ps and 5ps they'd accumulated whilst away. Oh and they bought us some bird food and a new feeder for our garden too. Didn't expect them to do all that but it's really nice they did (had to stop mum paying for the postage on my ebay sales yesterday though - pointed out the people had already paid me for it and I could manage ;) )
