Well by next week I will have saved enough to do my bankruptcy.
I've been sat here most of the day too nervous even to pick up the phone and call the court to make an appointment
I know it's the best thing for me and I know it has to be done but right now I just feel sick... and just sat trying to will myself to make the call

Daisy,
Pick up the phone and make that call. I guess they would tell you anyway if they don't think it's right for you. Go on, you can do it!:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
Hi Daisy,
I went through BR back in 2005 (I stupidly never learned my lesson but for various reasons I sure have now!) and the OR was lovely. It sounds like it should be the most stressful thing in the world but it really isn't and the feeling you get as the weight is lifted off your shoulders is amazing!
You mention you'll have enough saved by next week... t's a little cheeky but do you have an overdraft with a bank to whom you owe money already? You could always use that and include the o/d in your debts to be included in the BR order...Let battle commence!!!
Current Savings: £1,199.60
Target Savings: £45,0000 -
I made the call 10 minutes before they closed...
Got my appointment booked two weeks today....I'll have no fingernails left by then.0 -
Hi - It sounds as though you have worked hard to get together the money for the fees - and now you have two weeks to make sure everything is well planned and organised for the day. It will be the start of a 'new life' without the sleepless nights and stress of debt. Its not all a bed of roses but it's amazing what you can achieve when the last thing you think about at night and the first thing you think about when you wake is no longer debts...Well done for making the call :T0

I really wouldn't worry to much about your appointment, I was with the judge for less than a minute he was very nice, they court staff were great. I had to have a face to face interview at the OR office and she was lovely non judgmental and friendly. It's not anything as bad as you think it will be.0

I've paid non of my creditors since end of September, it's the way I've saved the money for bankruptcy.
I've not completed all the form yet. It's probably a simple case as I'm on benefits and rent my house.
Still kind of scary getting letters and phone calls tho as up till September I'd never made a late payment... Even if I was borrowing to actually pay my minimums.0
