Self Assessment Question 14-15

in Cutting tax
Thanks in advance for any help with my tax query.
Why does my previous contributions to my 14-15 tax year not appear on my self assessment online return?
I have made 2 contributions based on 13-14 figures and this does not feature on the final calculations made for my current return.
Will I have to pay the final amount in the calculations or will it be taken off? Going to have to liquidate some assets if its the former:(

I assume you are referring to your payments on account for 2013/14.
I'm also assuming you haven't formally submitted your SA return for that period.
Until you do, the payments on account will not be credited to your annual tax liability - you just have to remember what you paid.
Once you submit the return, electronically, if you go into your tax account a couple of days later, the payments on account will have been deducted from your 2013/14 liability leaving what's still owed by you.0 -

Sorry -that reply is somewhat confusing.
The op is talking about his 14/15 return and has stated that he has made payments on account FOR THAT YEAR based on his 2013/14 liability.
Your last paragraph is correct if one replaces 2013/14 with 2014/15.0 -

Thank you for pointing this out. Yes, you are right.0
