Hi, This year we are going to be financially better off than previous years as my husband has had a pay rise, I have a better paid job and some of our debts are ending plus a significant saving on the mortgage - by no means are we comfortable as we still owe over 22000! I need a goal to pay off my debt - set a target of how much to pay off but I dont know whats realistic. I dont want to cut so far back that I start spending again if that makes any sense.

Hi Autumn
I suppose one way of goal setting is to target paying off the higher interest rate debt first and then go from there. Why not join in the Pay All your debt by xmas 2016 on the debt free challenges. People set how much debt they want to pay down in a year it doesn't have to be the full amount. It's good because people are on there every day paying away and chatting.
