    Same in my local Saisnburys
They seem to have well over ordered on the mince pies, and had several pallet loads displayed at several locations around the store
The dates are throughout January ( I Bought a couple of packs that where best before 25th Jan ). Doesnt say anything about freezable on the packs - just says store in cool dry location, but has anyone tried freezing mince pies ?

My mum makes her own mince pies and freezes them. Just uses frozen shortcrust pastry and jar of mincemeat

The only thing I can think of freezing these mince pies is the pastry maybe more crumbly or falls apart. Still fine served warm with custard or cream.

I froze several packet of mince pies last month and they came out fine when defrosted. Couldn't tell they had been frozen at all.

If you crumble them up and mix them with some vanilla ice-cream then you get a rather nice mince-pie ice cream :) That freezes really well.

No pies left- but they now have a large end of aisle display filled with hundreds of jars of their own "Taste The Difference" range of mincemeat @ 10p each

Buyers at Sainsburys have definately got a lot of explaining to do to their bosses :)
