Using up 'old' beer?

Hiya,
I have some Hobgoblin beer, in one of those eight pinter kegs, that was opened on 29th December. Husband says it's ' not very nice now' (actually said that on 31st) so I was wondering whether to use it up in beef and ale stew (would be making tomoz)
Obviously I don't want to throw good money after bad so would you think it would turn out nice with the 'old' beer or, have you any other suggestions for using up old flat beer? TIA
