You must be privileged - I think the normal age is 60. My husband started getting these every other year after he turned 60. He just provided his latest....er ...sample a few days ago.

I'm 55, and not expecting this particular pleasure for another 5 years

If you see a sign saying Student discount always ask if the do a pensioners discount, in fact be cheeky and always ask. Don't ask, don't get.

Also, you'll qualify for some of the senior citizens discounts, like the B&Q Diamond Card, and reduced entry to attractions (but be careful, as the age varies, it might be older than 60 in some cases)

Thank you so much for the information on the buss pass and wfp. I think I am fairly savvy but didn't know this. Every little helps.
