Can anyone recommend a good hotel for a wee break away, maybe in spring time, for someone travelling alone?
Maybe a pool, beauty treatment, hair salon etc
Can travel north or south
Thanks

I'd recommend the Manor House in Enniskillen.
http://www.manorhousecountryhotel.com/
Or the Farnham Estate in Cavan (for its Spa and Health facilities)
http://www.farnhamestate.ie/
Both regularly have offers (particularly mid week offers) so worth keeping an eye on.
Plus the weak Euro works in our favour for over the boarder hotel prices with the likes of the Farnham Estate.0 -
We've been to the Roe Park Resort in Limavady several times and can recommend it - like a lot of hotels, they have deals for short breaks, e.g. 2 nights and an evening meal for a reduced price. Don't worry about it being a golf resort - they've got a spa, pool and gym, as well as lots of space where you can spend a few days reading/relaxing, etc.0

The White Horse Inn in Derry is very good.0

Try a coach holiday, they are brilliant for folk who are travelling alone.
You meet so many new friends and aquantances.
There are loads to choose from, National Holiday, David Urquart, Shearings. Lochs and Glens
Highland Heritage.
Lots of special offers too, some five dayers are just £99make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Galgorm resort and spa for a real treat.0

Roe Park, I love it there.
Heard good reports of Castle Leslie as well, they've just released 2016 deals.0 -
Lough Eske or Harvey's Point.
Dublin the Merrion is good.
Castle Leslie is pretty good. I'd avoid the Castle rooms. Ok for a night but don't have the Lodge facilities.
Wouldn't stay in Galgorm again if you paid me.0 -

Another vote for Galgorm. Last time I was there I went down to the spa on my own and there was a great atmosphere. I got chatting to some other ladies in the steam room and we had quite a giggle!
It attracts a real mix of people - singles, couples, young and old I find the facilities and atmosphere at Galgorm much nicer than Roe Valley. And the food is lovely!Norn Iron Club Member 3300 -
