Single food shopping budget

  • I live with my gf and I average £120 a month on food shopping (at Sainsburys), This includes things like loo roll, washing liquid etc, all the things you don't even think of at first!

Best advice is find out when the store starts doing price reductions, and go maybe an hour later if possible, by then there should be a decent variety of reduced meat/bread - even damaged cereal boxes/beers with missing cans/etc get reduced at my local sainsburys

And never buy ready meals - always try to cook from scratch. costs less and lasts longer!
