Hi all,I have been doing a bit of a clear out,as you do at this time of year, and have quite a few pieces of unwanted jewellery I would like to get rid of.
Any recommendations on where I could take it to get the best possible deal?
It is mostly gold jewellery,9ct I think, possibly some 18ct,some of it have jewels in it.
Also,I have a few watches that have never been worn, nothing top end,but cost around £100/£150 when bought new.
Any help much appreciated:)

Caratage you should be able to tell from the hallmark. "Jewels" - it depends a lot on what they are and the quality, 9 carat gold probably won't have anything decent in it, it's not even really gold (37.5% gold content doesn't count in some places) you may only be able to get scrap value for it, but may be worth a punt on ebay, if it looks attractive.
Note: not an expert, just an opinion based on past experience.0 -
Is the scrap value for gold still reasonably high?
Any recommendations for anyone who buys it at a fair price?0
