640 - Piano - Yes!!! I haven't even nagged about this! I never thought we would get it out. It was OH's Gran's and we were forced to have it.
    :)

Well done on getting rid of the piano. We too had a piano - OH's great gran's. It was a terrible piano but my MiL persuaded us to take it and then it was so hard to get rid of it, she was so sentimental about it. And it was so bad...

We only got rid of it when I inherited another - good - piano from my mother. We bit the bullet, and sold it on eBay, reassuring MiL that it had gone to a good home. We never sold her that we sold it for 99p. Although they did give us a £1 coin and said we could keep the change!

So frustrating, as someone who is fairly musical, how people get sentimental about musical instruments which are well past their useful life.

    MIL doesn't know yet:eek:

I'm not musical and tbh it wasn't a particularly good. The main thing that annoyed me about was his sister decided to have it yrs ago and we didn't get a choice whether we wanted it. She moved 6 months later and we're forced to have it back

The pantry looks huge now :o

  • 40 items of clothing taken to school for clothing collection. I know they don't get much for it, but it was easier than taking to charity shop.

Old broken boxes, bags etc binned or recycled.
