This is very similar to my story - new boiler in the summer, plus £450 of car repairs and other house fixes cost £3k.
Had these things happened two years ago they would have added to by debt, instead, in 2015, I could cope. Imagine how much money we have saved on interest/fees alone by getting organised. I actually feel prouder of being able to cope with this emergency spending than my actual debt reduction!0 -
I paid off a total of £9624.99
plus ben75's £2878 (I think?)
Accumulated total is .... £133,135.360 -

I was winging it tbh. Roof started leaking couple years ago, door has let rain in for years. I had saved for roof but I'm fortunate that my kids are so supportive and will pay up front if I haven't saved my target. This year however ...... There will be a proper emergency fund in placeLBM.....sometime in 2013 £27,056. 10 creditors
