Went for my weekly outing to Aldi yesterday morning, spent £34.14 which included a whole large chicken and half leg of lamb reduced which are in the freezer now.
Baby is due in just over 5 weeks and I'm struggling with energy. By the time it gets to the end of the work day and cooking dinner I just can't be bothered. Had nuggets, chips and beans yesterday. Not the most nutritious but at least it wasn't a takeaway!
Money is a bit tight this month again, mortgage payment has gone out of £790.79 made up of ££400.59 interest and £390.20 capital, remaining balance £229,609.80. I wanted to be able to pay off £500 capital a month but we don't have the £109.80 to spare so I've sent a payment of £9.80 just to keep it to a round number. Every little helps, right?!Mortgage £126746 DEC14 £122423.53 DEC15 £115041.70 DEC16 Remortgaged Sep17 to pay off HtB loan £150000 - £140500 JUL19 Moved house Oct19 £230000 £230400 DEC200 -
Had to pop to Tesco this evening. DH is feeling a bit under the weather and always wants chicken noodle soup which we were out of. While I was there I picked up a few other bits that I can't get in Aldi, total of £27.28 spent.
Have also changed the direct debit for our internet to be paid by the credit card that gets points rather than from the bank. I've done this with a few bills and just pay the money to the card the day after payday so I keep on top of it. I've also been doing all shopping on the card and paying it straight overMortgage £126746 DEC14 £122423.53 DEC15 £115041.70 DEC16 Remortgaged Sep17 to pay off HtB loan £150000 - £140500 JUL19 Moved house Oct19 £230000 £230400 DEC200 -
£5.39 cashed out on Prolific today, claimed back £170 credit from my credit card that should land in my account in 3-5 days. Hopefully March won't be such a tight month and we can go back to adding to savings rather than using them.

Waiting for a £9.67 cashout from Prolific. It's been another spendy month and it's not quite over yet. Payday tomorrow and I've had a small payrise which was also backdated for last month too.
Variable spends this month (so far):
Cars - £137.46 includes insurance, fuel and some parking
Groceries - £243.94, higher than I wanted but stocked up on some meat and toilet rolls which we get from Costco every 3 months or so. Will probably have one more shop to do this week but should be less than £30.
Takeaways/eating out - £95.36, had a couple of nights where I really didn't feel like cooking. Not too far over the £80 a month budget and as January came in low we are still averaging the budget amount.
Misc - £335.72, includes £120 on a birth pool, another payment towards a car seat, and some other baby stuff we needed.
About 2 weeks to go til my due date and I finish work for maternity leave this Friday. We've got all the big stuff we need for the baby, think it's just new bottle teats we need to get now.
Really need to lose some weight but it'll wait til after the baby is born, ain't nobody got time for that at 9 months pregnant!Mortgage £126746 DEC14 £122423.53 DEC15 £115041.70 DEC16 Remortgaged Sep17 to pay off HtB loan £150000 - £140500 JUL19 Moved house Oct19 £230000 £230400 DEC200 -
Hi @TwentySomethingGirl I've just read your diary and wanted to wish you all the best for baby number 2. I've got two boys too, born in 2017 and 2019 and they're loads of fun even if they do run me raggedMortgage start date: January 2021

Hi @pepperwand, thanks for stopping by! I'm quite looking forward to seeing them grow together, though I'm already conscious that I'm outnumbered and if he eats anything like his brother I might have to sell a kidney!
I'm now on maternity leave and due date is creeping closer. Sooo bored already. When I went on my last mat leave I went to the cinema and met friends for lunch etc, this time round I'm just sat in the house where I've been for the last year...too sore and tired to do all the things round the house that need doing so I'm just catching up on a lot of telly and trying to get a cross stitch finished.
There were a few additional expenses at the end of Feb. One of the biggest was DS needing new wellies and jumpers. Made the mistake of taking him (so he could try the wellies on) and DH to Tesco and as usual, shopping with them is exponentially more expensive than when I go without them!
£9.67 and £8.35 received from Prolific and another £7.03 cash out requested.Mortgage £126746 DEC14 £122423.53 DEC15 £115041.70 DEC16 Remortgaged Sep17 to pay off HtB loan £150000 - £140500 JUL19 Moved house Oct19 £230000 £230400 DEC200 -
Best of luck for the birth! Things are so different at the moment for expectant mums but hopefully ante natal/birth groups will be running again soon. I think you are doing so well with your budgetting.0
