    The petrol vs. diesel debate rumbles on...

    There are good reasons not to buy a diesel, depending on the quantity and type of one's driving. Realistically, though, most car models are more economical like-for-like with diesel engines rather than petrol, and it is other costs (servicing and potential repairs) which push the balance the other way. Even then, the advantages of diesel over petrol vary hugely between car models.

    Certainly a 2-5% price premium for diesel is more than out-weighed by reduced road tax and greater fuel economy.

    Only after a few thousand will you get the true mpg
    Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.
