Getting Tax Rebate

in Cutting tax
I'm currently a university student and have 5 different employers who i work for during the holidays.
throughout this summer, i was getting taxed 50% from my weekly earnings because I have so many jobs (but earning no where near the £10,000 tax bracket) as i only work a few months of the year.
I have called HMRC over 5 times this past 6 months to try and get some of my money back? each time they tell me it is sorted, but i hear nothing more from them. will i ever get this money back, they owe me more than £1000 which i really need, as only earning £2000 per year!
Do i have to do anything else or will this sort itself out?

Looks like i am going to have to wait until April and it will sort itself out! i don't want to hand in my P45 as then i wont have a holiday job! so therefore wont be able to complete a P500

I am confused how you have paid 50% tax, without the correct tax code being in place 20% would have been deducted unless you were on a high income in which case it may be 40%
If you are including NI contributions, these are not refundable
You will be able to see on your latest payslips from each job the total tax paid0 -

In order to understand what is happening you need to give some accurate figures. From the last payslip for each job show the taxable gross, tax paid, tax code/basis, taxable gross to date and tax paid to date.0 -
In April, you will know (and HMRC) will know exactly how much you have earned, how much tax you have paid and how much of a refund you are due.
The easiest and more accurate way would be to wait till then.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0
