Natwest ignoring my letter re overdraft

Hi,
I wrote to natwest on the 15th November regarding my overdraft and explained that I am a single mum of 3 on benefits and desperately trying to repay it at a rate of £25 a week (as of 30/12 I have £220 left of £1250 to pay) but that I'm struggling as I am repaying other debts too. I pointed out that i'd received a letter saying that I'd paid £250 in fees and interest over the past year and was there any way they'd consider freezing interest or even refunding the charges. I sent a copy of my benefits award letter with my letter to show my income. I also asked that they changed my address. The overdraft was taken out in 2003 when I was a daft student and I've been paying fees and interest ever since but never used the account after wasting the overdraft! I only opened the account because they offered me £100 at the freshers fair and my student loan hadn't come through!
Well I've had no reply to my letter but statements have arrived here since I wrote to them so they clearly got my letter!
Are they just ignoring me because I'm continuing to make payments? Surely they should have at least acknowledged my letter? Thankfully I will have paid the debt off by the end of February and then I'll be able to move my £25 a week to another debt
I've well and truly had my lightbulb moment!

They don't have an obligation to freeze any charges or fees. They may only do it if they sell the debt on and close the account. You can ask and keep asking and they might do it, they might not, depends on how persistent you are and how nice the company is!

As for change of address you can go into branch and change the address.

Congrats on paying loads of it back.

Give them a quick ring, it's easy to find out if they received your complaint or not, maybe resubmit by email if they didn't ?
