Mortgage Advice

Hi,
I've been overpaying my mortgage for the last 10 years and now got to the stage where it is at £9000.
Shall I:
1. Keep overpaying until the total runs out? (which would be in about 9 months)
I've been told that I will have to pay £90 for finishing my mortgage earlier than agreed.
2. I have £9000 in shares (should I sell them to pay off the mortgage) the shares have gone up in price since I brought them.
Please help!
