gift card and George Home query

Hi all,
We won an Asda gift card in a competition.
a) Can we purchase George Home sofas in store?
b) Can we use the gift card to pay for them?
c) If not, can we convert/exchange the gift card to an e-voucher (or something similar that will allow us to use the balance online)?
Anyone any tips? It's surprisingly hard to get anyone who knows even the answer to a)
(two phone calls, one to head office, the other a callback from filling in a web form; also in-store customer service desk)
Many thanks for any help!

A quick google brings up your answer.
The balance on these cards can be used in store either as full or part payment excluding third party concessions or products, petrol and lottery tickets) while your card is valid.

Thanks, we had found that but it doesn't entirely clarify.
Can we pay in store for products that are not in store/have to be delivered? (like, in our case, sofas)
And can we use our gift card as form of payment?
This is the conundrum that is baffling the finest minds at Asda at the moment.0 -

Yes and yes
You are ordering and paying in store and as it says above, they can be used in store as long as it's not a third party concession.I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Competitions Time, Shopping & Freebies boards, Employment, Jobseeking & Training boards If you need any help on these boards, do let me know. Thanks Sarah, that was essentially our interpretation. But crucially not that of the grumpy customer service desk staff member yesterday morning.
I think we'll go back when someone else is on the desk, maybe at a quiet time of day.0
