Step aerobics! seriously, I've been doing it for just over a year and it's made a huge difference to me. You can do it in a very small space with minimal outlay for equipment. I got my step from a car boot sale for £3, and I use DVDs from Amazon for about £6 each. I started with "Gilad Step Aerobics" which I would have instantly dismissed based just on the cover art, but the reviews on Amazon convinced me to give it a go and they were right. I've now got his other step DVD and a Kathy Smith one, and I do 2 or 3 step workouts a week, alternating them.

I do like a step class, but I need a class to do it in. I have no motivation to do it myself at home.

I have tried to find local places that just do a class, rather than join a gym for their classes, but I'm struggling.

I have signed up for #walk1000miles and have arranged my first Nordic walking group place for this Saturday. So I'll see how that goes.

I will look at my old Pilates class again but need a couple more 'cardio' classes. I think I'm going to have to bite the bullet and just pay for a gym but I wanted to avoid that if possible. I think because I live so close to big gym establishments local halls etc don't run classes.
Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....

hi 74jax how about trying something like boxing or a self defence class you can get ones that are women only if you prefer or lots of pools offer aqua aerobics where you can pay as you go. These are always fun and get a bit of social interaction. Hope you find your fitness mojo don't be too hard on yourself.

That'd a really good idea, and something I've never done before too 😃

    Thanks for the idea.

Spinning or boxercise are great cardio classes, leaving you feeling exhausted but also with that euphoric high afterwards.

102 (in case I miscounted) x 25 metre lengths done today.

    I feel great.

Aiming for 64 (one mile) a day.
