If it's North East as a region, rather than what we would think of as NE (ie including Yorkshire), then I'm guessing about £140k. If Yorkshire included, then I'd expect it to be closer to £180-190k.

IIRC, the North East as a geographic region has a huge supply of band A council tax housing, more than any other region in England. But not googling to confirm as that would be cheating.

Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.

I'm originally from the North East, I'd say that is virtually impossible to have a feel for this one, there is such a wide range of value up there, in some ex pit villages the houses are almost worthless, creating vastly different local markets. So you either know the answer to this one or you don't (I don't), very hard to guess it correctly. There is no need for insults though, suggesting that we value property as either 2 daughters or 7 pigs. Most Northerner's know the value of a good pig, and the pig to daughter value ratio is less than 3 pigs, unless you are talking about an exceptional woman e.g. someone who could read and write and still has most of her teeth.

I saw a packet of pork scratchings on sale in a supermarket in Aus touted as being free of trans fats. Health pork scratchings! I guess they were gluten, nut and dairy free too.:j
