  • peppapig - my crafting skills are not good! It will be nice to see your efforts though.

I haven't go any Christmas books, will maybe see if I can get any on my kindle.

  • Pinksteps - Which handbag did you go for then? I had a rummage through my handbag drawer & found on that was gifted to me last Christmas from a lady in work as I drive her to work & back on a Sunday. I am going to re-gift this one to my neice for Christmas as I haven't used it.

Ah that was nice of your Mum.

Just catching up on GBBO, not the best thing to watch when I am on a diet!

  • missmoose - That is great, good when you get a bargain & also get the OH on board with the whole planning in advance for Christmas. My DH thinks that starting a week before Christmas is acceptable!

We are going to some Christmas fayres, a craft one in October (tickets on Itison) & the ideal home show one in November (tickets also on Itison) I love stuff like that so festive & can get some good deals or ideas for gifts.

    I love Elf!

Also happy they are bringing out Bad Santa 2.

  • Heyyyy,

Not much else to report from me today, I managed to sneak DH's Lego Caterham that I got delivered to work into the wardrobe, just need to hope he doesn't go snooping! It's like having a child sometimes I swear :rotfl:

Sammy kaye that is fantastic news about your sons results x

Welcome Missimoose- you're not mad- you're Christmas savvy!

Dolly Rocker - my DH is the same too, thinks that's what Christmas eve is for- shopping!

Peppa- glad the chemo went OK, nearly there! Erm- you didn't mention you have a new career as a virtual personal shopper mapped out??! That initial is lovely, it is a really pretty font and oh so Cath -eqsue for a little girl. I haven't even got a solid plan for the stocking challenge yet so you will deffo beat me this month!

Pink- bum that you are not as perky as you would like to be but yay a new handbag?! That's number one treat in my books (with shoes coming second and nail polish third!)

Well I have gone and done it again! I asked DD's ex what he would like for Christmas and he said he would like some accessories to use on his vlog, mics, lights etc. So after trawling through ebay and various other sites I came across a studio set that has everything in it (he confirmed it is just what he wants and would love it). I got it for £56 and used £20 survey monies so that was a bargain . BUT it was delivered yesterday and it is mahoosive!!! (Pizza oven strikes again!!) Lord knows where I am going to put it in the run up to Christmas and it is mega heavy into the bargain. Why do I do these things .......?
    lovin' this site!

  • Another Daryl fan here, there's just something about him! I can't wait for the new series of Walking Dead to start.

Thanks Peppa, I will PM you shortly.

Hi missmoose - we're all Christmas crazy here & I don't care if people think i'm mad starting my shopping earlier because I just love it so much! Plus I don't have all the stress in December trying to think of gifts and battling through all the crowds. I also save loads of money because around this time loads of shops have sales and other offers, particularly online, but then in December prices start to creep back up and most of the offers disappear so anybody shopping in December ends up paying more money for the same stuff. Now that's mad!

I am full up with a cold at the moment so feeling very sorry for myself. I'm in work today but just want to go home and watch Christmas movies.

Morning, such a lovely sunny day today. I think I'll need to it the grass, hopefully for the last time this year. My house is still a bit upside down from the clear out. I was doing well, and kept going and now im at a standstill. And loads of bags needing to go to the dump, but that's a job I hate (got a nail in my tyre last time!).

Peppa- glad your chemo ŵent well. the end is in sight. I love the button letter, very pretty.

I'm feeling a bit silly. Last night I was in a big Tesco and spotted the wee Tsum Tsum toys that were down to 75p per pack instead of £3.00. The kids didn't have any and often thought they were cute, but I refused to buy them as they are expensive. So as a reward for being well behaved at their aunts and while we did some errands yesterday, I said I'd buy them a couple each. We cleared the shelf. They love them and now I'm kicking myself for not putting them past for stockings! I Didn't think they would like them that much. And I was just excited to spot the bargain.
I don't usually reward them with toys, but my DS had made a big effort to be good. I had told him thanks and that he had made me happy yesterday(no shouting at all, for a change). But thought these were nice to give them something to collect and hopefully play together with. Just wished id kept them for xmas :rotfl:

I also went to home bargains last night while DS is at his guitar lessons. I got another big gingerbread candle as I'm really impressed how my first one has burned and smelled all the way down. So I want another for December and they only had a few of that kind on the shelf. I also bought a little clay gingerbread house with candy canes on it. It's very cute. It also lights up. It's quite simple, but the clay makes it look almost edible. Will see if I can find links for them online. So much for me not buying many xmas decs this year :o

Another walking dead and Daryl fan hear. Can't wait for it to start back up. I have been watching the spin off, Fear the walking dead. It was a bit of a slow starter, but series 2 is very good. It's kept me going while waiting for TWD to start again.

Ive also been watching Outlander. I loved all the books. So I'm happy how well it has been done on screen. But I have the hots for Jamie. I have a soft spot for topless men with kilts :-)

I watched the Christmas wish on True Christmas the other morning. The one with Dougie Howser ( can't remember his real name lol) it was good, but I had to go out before end. Hoping to catch it again. I like how they are all suitable for the family my DD (11) is a christmas nut too and loves watching them with me.

Ha ha, MURIE you def have the knack of finding oversized pressies. :rotfl: would it fit on top of the pizza oven? I was originally going to make some gingerbread or shortbread Christmas stockings for the challenge but thank goodness I had inspiration at about the same time I remembered how rubbish I am at baking and cooking in general.

PINKSTEPS that was a lovely thing to say, I don't think I was that much help but it was fun hunting it down and I can't wait for it to get to you. I sniff my one quite a bit but then I just love the smell of leather. Just read that sentence back and it sounds much weirder than I meant it too :D

Welcome MISSIMOOSE, nobody here will think you're odd for shopping early, some of us have been shopping all year lol.

Well after picking up the wrong size sweatshirt (right hanger but not right item on it) in Asda the other day and getting a refund, I then went to Primark and found when I got home that exactly the same thing had happened again! Guess where I'm going today?! To soften the blow though I'm also going to Home Bargains for a rummage, hoping to finish off some of the Christmas day dinner gifts for SDD's church's guests.

    Happy Thursday everyone.
It's the most wonderful timeof the year :
  • MoneyMission2015 - People in work have been looking at me like I have horns because I am organised! Won't be that when I am calm in December & they are all running around crazy in the shops :rotfl:

99% of the gifts I have have all been on the sale or bought through an online deal :money:

Aw poor you, I feel a bit heavy around the head aswell hoping it doesn't come to much, I am off to Dublin with the girls on Saturday morning.
