Keeping Track of Different Pension Payments - how ?

Hi
I work as a teacher and over the years I have paid into a few different schemes because the work has been for different institutions and sometimes the work has only been for 6 months, 3 months, 2 years, or 9 years ! So my questions :
1 ) What happens when I reach retirement age - do I get notification of which schemes I have paid into ?
2) Is there a way of tracking what schemes I have paid into over the years (not just with teaching but any pension plan) ? By this I mean one places that will have these details ?

You keep your own records.2) Is there a way of tracking what schemes I have paid into over the years (not just with teaching but any pension plan) ? By this I mean one places that will have these details ?
There is a tracing service but keeping your own records is far better. It only means you have to keep them notified of your current addressI am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Do you know the name of each scheme and the type of pension concerned?0

No that's the problem. There is only one scheme that I'm aware of. The others I don't recall.0

I do have Teacher's Pension details yes. It was just that there have been a couple of others. Either way, none of have contributed significantly to anything!0

With some schemes, you may find that if you were only in them for a short amount of time your contributions were actually refunded (less tax & NI) when you left the job.
You should always make sure that your pension schemes have a current address for you so that they can communicate as necessary.0 -
With money purchase schemes, you get an annual statement. So you just need to keep them up-to-date with your address.
For defined benefit schemes you do not get an annual statement but you still need to keep them up-to-date with your address changes.
it is unclear what you are asking. Your thread title asks how to keep track of pensions. However, have you actually lost information on the pensions and can find no records?I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
