Best way to store beef?

Options
Hello all,

I bought a lump of beef yesterday for Christmas dinner.
What's the best way to store it til then? Out of the bag, on a plate and wrapped in greaseproof?

Thank you.

If it's from the butchers I'd wrap in either clingfilm or tinfoil. If it's from a supermarket leave in original packaging. Cook it nice and slow so it's tender.
Why pay full price when you may get it YS ;)

Just make sure it's in the fridge, where it can't drip on any cooked goods (so closer to the bottom) .... and well covered/sealed so the air doesn't get to it. How you cover/seal it is up to you (what you have available), but just think "airtight as possible" so it doesn't discolour or dry out at all.

Sounds like yours is in the plastic supermarket packaging so leave it in there but just in case it's not completely sealed put a plate under it before putting it in the fridge. When you take the plastic off it might smell a bit strange but don't worry, it'll be fine.
