The Juice Plus trend seems to rife among my friends at the moment (FB feed full of it!) has anyone tried it? It seems quite pricey, has anyone found any good deals on it?

The best way to get a deal is to add lots of reps on Facebook, join their groups and wait for them to give out offers. A lot of them will give free x when you buy y or will do a competition to win some. You could also look on your local Facebook selling pages as people who have tried it but don't get on with it often sell the packets off slightly cheaper.
It is the same as any meal replacement product in that it will help you lose weight because you are limiting your calories and removing things from your diet. I did it for 3 months but then cutting out many foods I like made it impossible to continue. Things like dairy, gluten and bacon - you need to buy alternatives like almond/soya/hazelnut milk. I didn't get on with the shakes and struggled to make them taste of anything other than fake vanilla/chocolate and powder.
That said, I'm giving the boosters they do a try in the new year - I read up a little on the ingredients in there so I want to experiment plus I blog so will be able to give an honest review; like I did with the shakes.0 -
Yes, I second what Fallen-Angel said about local FB selling pages. I often see people trying to flog it every now and then, although January is probably the time people holding on to them.0

Tastes awful try some off friends lots on ebay and gumtree for sale all the time.
The best i have tried is the cambridge diet all expensive Though.
Herbalife is another they leave a awful after taste.
It is working for me cutting down on junk and taking long walks only use the car when i really need to.0 -
Hi oliviarose,
I am currently on juice plus and doing really well on it. I lost 10 pounds in 7 weeks and now back on the shakes to lose the last 10 pounds.
As well as losing weight I've have bags more energy. I used to get daily headaches but when I'm on it I rarely have one.
I've tried weightwatchers, slimming world, 5:2 and found this the easiest to stick to.
Hope this helps.

Juice plus is Multi level marketing ( pyramid) selling. There is no basis in science for what they 'claim' to be selling you ( overpriced 'filler' powder). There is no nutritional value in these tubs of powder. They have a restrictive diet plan to follow - which is why you 'lose weight and feel better' - anyone who cuts out junk food and follows a meal plan with healthy food will feel better and lose weight.......without wasting money on the 'filler' product!. Sadly these pyramid schemes always involve fleecing people who can seriously do without wasting over forty quid a tub on a placebo!. Save yourself a fortune - spend the money on a nutribullet and find a free healthy eating plan online! A two second google with the search terms ( any combination) of juice plus, scam, debunked, con, pyramid, rip off will give you all the evidence you need for why the product doesn't work......except to make your wallet and friends list lighter!:rotfl:If it weren't for stress I'd have no energy at all. First rule of acting: Whatever happens, look as if it were intended.;)
Don't follow in my footsteps, I walk into walls:smileyhea When in doubt .............mumble.
I may look busy, but I'm just confused.:T I smile because i have no idea what's going on.:rotfl:0 -
Of course this is just your opinion.
Personally it's the best money I have spent. Some people will pay £20+ per month to just be part of a slimming club. At least I get two meals a day for £10 more per month.
If you go on the juice plus website you will find there is a lot of research that has happened and the fact this product has been around for 40 years speaks volumes.
Yes it is network marketing, but doesn't every large company have a form of pyramid scheme, I.e one big boss creaming off profits?!
At the end if the day, I've lost weight, feel better, no headaches and found it easy. That's all I need.0 -

Yeah? Except it ISNT 'just' my opinion - as a 2 second google for the terms 'juice plus' con or scam will show you! I'm amazed anyone is daft enough to buy any of this junk without googling it first!.....it's universally known to be a MLM scam ( except, of course by the 'evangelists' who see results - ie those flogging it on to others to try to recoup their wasted outlay)!
My job is to read research and critique it - so, please, do not make me laugh - what is on that site is NOT credible research! It is marketing BS! ...not one single credible, reputable source and zero double blind, randomised clinical control trials! ie - total rubbish. Not one other reputable publication, site or researcher endorsing it - that speaks volumes!
You'd think if it worked - the NHS would use it - as it's cheaper than surgery!
It is sadly a way to part the gullible from their money! And what's worse, those who usually jump on board the fleecing scheme are the ones who can least afford to lose their money.

Like I said - the juice plus IS NOT the reason anyone sees ANY effect - it's the controlled diet!. You only have to think about how stupid the claim to have so many different fruits and veg in a pill/shake is! Yeah! Of Course they do! Just look at the ingredients list!!! :rotfl:.:rotfl:
Yep! VERY healthy! Worth anyone's money!:mad:
Spend your money on a blender/juicer, eat healthily, don't gorge, cut out junk, exercise - WAY more effective than this junk........and no annoying evangelists trying to flog you 'product' :T:T:rotfl:If it weren't for stress I'd have no energy at all.
