  • Thanks, so in effect its really a daily target until the end of the month, when we see the true status in the schedule.

Will just have to wait and see if any status schedules change during the month.

I can get it but can't see my name and I was the first to post :(
SueP19 - I'm terribly sorry, I'm not sure how I missed that (might have been the 'sofa moment'). I've added you in now, but not with the number you should have had, sorry!

skaps - your signature says 68 so I've added you in with that number, I'd already allocated 48 yesterday
:o just looked at the spreadsheet properly and have a question:o If my target is £3000 how much do I have to o/p to be On Schedule each month? Now I know this sounds a silly question, but what is confusing me is a MFW has a target of £3000 - same as me, and has paid £44 and is On Schedule.
Not sure if everybody can see the formulae on the spreadsheet, or just me as 'owner'. The formula for 'on schedule' etc. is some cleverness I inherited when I took over the challenge last year, I think VoucherMan wrote it and I'm not sure I could have done it myself. It's based on the 'months in challenge' column and the MONTH(now()) function so I think in the first month you are at least on schedule if you've paid anything, by month two you'll only be on schedule if you're at 1/12th of your target. I'll need some coffee before I can figure out what 'slightly behind' etc. mean, I think it's less than 1/12 behind (which you can't be in the first month).

It goes a bit wonky at the end of the year as I think the 2015 spreadsheet now gives some strange results, but that's ok :)
  • no 102 reporting first op of the year - £1018 please - thanks for running the challenge again this year.

Another one rejoining for 2016 - #66 if possible.
Have kept the standing order at £400 a month, but we have an interesting year ahead, so it will be interesting to see if we can keep that up.

    Thanks Lomcevak

Wish I'd known about the 2015 challenge, but can I play this year?

2016 will be our first year trying out an "all out attack" on the mortgage rather than being more conservative with savings, so I'm hoping our annual reduction will be £29,688.86 .

May as well round that up to a nice even £30,000 for the challenge, because when the number's that big anyway, what's another £311.14 among friends? (Or, re: the banks, enemies ;))

Edited to add so far we've done £2,186 in January.
