Slight Cold Remedies

Hi All,

I feel a slight cold coming on since yesterday with my throat being a little sore and sneezing a bit, I also feel quite run down.

Obviously I want to shake this asap and preferably before Christmas, does anyone have any recommendations?

Drink plenty of fluids and rest.
    How to find a dentist.
    1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
    2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
    3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
    4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.

Yes, lots of water! I always find a couple of Beechams normally help to starve it off if you've caught it early.

I hope it doesn't become anything worse!

This http://www.boots.com/en/Vicks-First-Defence-nasal-spray-15ml_21963/ normally works for me when I feel a cold coming on. It doesn't work if a cold is in full flow though, you got to use it with the first onset of symptoms.

I've been swearing by this and using it for a fortnight. However, since Friday night I've had a horrible cold.

    Annoying.

Years ago, during a 'flu' epidemic, one of the tv doctors discussed Echinacea, as being one of the few 'natural' remedies which was actually backed by reliable experimentation.

My husband and I started taking it daily, with a short break during the summer. Since then ,he has never had a cold, despite mixing daily with lots of different people and I have only had them since giving up Echinacea, because of drugs I am taking.

When I had the warning throat tingle, which can come before a cold takes hold, I used to take a double dose and was always better next morning.

Zinc tablets. You don't need to take them all the time, just swallow one with some orange juice when you feel a cold coming on.
