CV writing services ?

After the new year, i will be looking for a new job and will need to update my CV .
Are the CV writing services any good and worth the money any one had any experience in using there services

Lots and lots of threads on this.So worth searching the forum first.

For me - a CV is everything to get a job interview so why not spend £50 or £100 getting it right even if it is only a few tweaks. But dont be conned into spending more than £100 max.

There is loads of free information online for writing CVs.

Everyone has their own idea about what layout works best, there is no right or wrong answer. So you're best off looking online for tips, setting it out how you want, making sure all the content is there, spell check it, read it through to make sure it makes sense and give it to a family member/friend to check through.

If you find you're not getting anywhere after a while of using that CV you could always get it checked by a CV writing service.

I would say that unless you have literacy problem you are better off writing your own and then running it by a couple of people.
