Curly Wurly!

Ok this sounds like a bit of a pathetic question to post on here but it's costing me money so hey ho.
Does anyone know a product to hold curls please?
I have long, medium thickness (used to be v.thick but has thinned as I got older) hair with a slight wave. I spray salt spray on my hair and use either curling cream or strong curling mousse then scrunch dry. I then curl my hair with my straighteners. Finished this looks lovely . Thing is it drops out within half an hour. If I use an industrial strength hairspray this helps the most but hate my hair being 'crunchy'.

Does anyone know the best product to hold waves or curls coz im sick of buying creams, sprays etc that don't work.

BTW Merry Christmas!
