Satisfied mortgage account with AP marker

Hello all,

I was looking for some advice regarding the possible effect on my CR file with Equifax.

I was made BR in 2009 and it drops off my CRF's in 2 days :j I have checked them all and on my Equifax file it shows my mortgage account as satisfied and reports AP as of June 2010.

I have written to them to request they report it as of the date of my bankruptcy but they are refusing to do this as they state it wasn't part of my BR....even though they tried to take possession of it prior to the BR, therefore acknowledging there was an issue, default.

What is the possible effect to my CRF? What will any possible creditor see regarding the account? Will they see that it is a fully paid up mortgage? Is this worth pursuing to get it changed?

Thanks for any info.

Next step FOS and ICO if you have not done that yet.

You case is a debatable one, but worth a go.

  • I have actioned a complaint with the mortgage provider, now called Together Money.

I have informed them I will inform the FOS and ICO.

They are not a very nice company to do business with, used to be Cheshire Mortgage Co. and part of the Blemain Grp.

They were were commented against at a hearing we had at the CC.

I don't hold out too much hope, just wondered what the affect would be for the 6 months its on my file. Should I ask a notice of correction to be added or will that just ring alarm bells to creditors. I am hoping to get a car in March on a personal contract plan and obviously they will do credit checks and this is the only adverse marker even though it shows I paid the mortgage off in full, all £420,000 of it.

    Thanks

Depends on lender really. One of those how long is a piece of string questions really.

If you cant wait, try a broker. Normal one that does whole of market as well, or whatever they call it, not one of the "we can fix your credit problems" ones as they rip you off.

If you can wait it may be better bet, but it's all probabilities in the end.

The worst outcome would be you have to wait until next June for that account to come off your credit it file, you've done almost 6 years a few more months isn't so bad, but if it's not mean to be there fingers crossed the ICO can help!
