Hello,
Has anyone dealt with this debt collection agency before?
I have just received a letter stating that I owe £199.53, the original debt was with Sky which then got sold onto Cabot Credit Management. I have got no knowledge of this, I have only been with Sky for 8 months and I owe nothing to them.
What is best to do? Shall I just ignore it or should I send them a prove it letter?

Are you saying that you were with Sky previously for eight months, or that you have currently been with Sky for eight months?
The reason I ask is that the minimum period you can be with Sky is 12 months, so if you were with them previously, then that could be where the claim comes from."There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock0 -

Perhaps also complain to Sky that a collector is falsely chasing a debt for them, or one they have sold, and that it is something that does encourage you to stay with Sky.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
