Hi there everyone..its me again...I have just having a spring clean in my kitchen and found a bag of green lentils and white maize meal. what can I do with them? I think they were brought by a friend at some point. It just seems a waste not to use them... idea would be very much appreciated. thank you and have a nice day!!!:p

I think green lentils are meant to be good with either white fish or salads.
white maize meal i think you make bready types things with like dumplings for your stews or i believe you can make a porridge with it. Sorry not sure of recipes though.Still TryingGrocery challenge July 2016

If you like polenta you could make up the white maize meal the same way.
Mealie meal is eaten as a staple food (cooked as stywe pap, putu or krimmelpap) in Africa and is yummy with a nice spicy tomato and onion sauce with it. It's also the same thing as grits which is eaten in America.0
