My aunt Flo dropped by in the night and has ruined my favourite pj bottoms! I washed them straight away with Vanish powerspray but it's not made much of a difference.
Anyone got any ideas?

Pure cotton?
Soak in a mild solution of Ace bleach; or washing soda or the solutions Hapless suggests.
Leave to soak for as long as you can. Mine have come clean & bright after a week in an Ace solutionWarning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac0 -

Am I right in thinking that you've got blood stains on your pj's? I've never heard the aunt Flo expression before.
For blood stains all you need is a bar of soap and a cold water. You don't need salt or bleach or vinegar or other chemicals.;)
Simply run the cold water tap over the stain then rub the stain with the bar of soap, rinse and repeat until all the stain has gone. If you have tried other methods and washed the garment in a washing machine, it will probably fix the stain. I would try Ariel Biological Automatic washing powder in that case.
Next time you need to remove a blood stain, just use cold water and a bar of soap.;)
I have worked in a research & development laboratory to evaluate laundry care products and part of my work was applying stains to fabrics and evaluating the stain removal performance of laundry care products.;)10 Dec 2007 - Led Zeppelin - I was there. :j [/COLOR]:cool2: I wear my 50 (gold/red/white) blood donations pin badge with pride. Me neitherClearly not an expression used in East Yorks
I keep a box of bio washing powder under the sink. I've found that a soak in that gets rid of even old blood stains.

Me neither for the aunt flo thing- was ready to ask what exactly she did
Anyway- Hair spray is great for getting rid of stains, just spray it on the area and wash as normal... It hasn't failed me yet :j0
