Student Halifax Overdraft Help!
Hi,
I currently have a £1000 student planned overdraft with Halifax.
I am looking to increase that currently to cover early rent costs demanded by landlord and health costs after a sudden complication with my body.
Will I incur any costs if I increase the overdraft? Such as daily fees etc as I know these can be seriously high!

The terms of their student account are described on their website:

You can ask them if they will increase the agreed (planned) overdraft, but whether they will or not is up to them. If this is your first year operating the account then it seems unlikely, but you can only ask. If they say no, that's it - the decision is entirely theirs. If they say yes then there should be no charge for using it while you are a student, but be aware that the overdraft is repayable on demand, so don't assume that it's available to you forever.0
