Some great ideas in here - very inspirational
I've been having a good think and I'm goign to keep this year focused on a few things:
1) Be healthier and look after myself more.
2) Recycle even more more and reduce waste.
3) Keep on with the "spending less" - less consumerism in my life.
Thanks to OS and everyone here I'll do better I feel - many thanks to you all for your help :T:money::j:A:cool:0 -
Great thread folks!
I have found that long lists of resolutions don't work for me, so I thought I would go with one main resolution which is to finish tasks I start, but then I spotted dandy-candy's meal planning and remembered I really need to do that too!
So putting the two together into a mini-mantra, I have "Plan to finish" to keep me focused this year.***Mortgage Free Oct 2018 - Debt Free again (after detour) June 2022***
Never underestimate the power of a beautiful spreadsheet0 -
Money saving wise, my three related ones are to plan my meals at least a week in advance, never buy a takeaway lunch at work, and never spend more than £3 in a shop unless holding a shopping list (obvious exception for petrol).
Non money wise I want to lose weight too, but given how atrocious my diet was in 2015 doing the things above will almost guarantee that.0 -
I would like to be more laid back and worry less about things I cannot change
I would like to set up some longer term savings - I save each month for Christmas, birthdays house and car maintenance and bills but there is a big change coming in my job over the next 10 years so I need an escape plan
To achieve this I aim to stop buying takeaways in 2016. Each time I think I need a takeaway I will transfer the money into my savings account !
